When to visit
As with all other countries, Mexico is a party of seasons. Every season has its own distinct charm. Go anytime. But for your happiest trip, go between December and April. There’s not much rain during this season, which makes it optimal. The cold months of December to February are some of the best. You might even collide with the hurricane season coming up around July to November.
Average cost per person
Mexico is known in the travel world as the god of budgets. Even after being filled to the top with travelers of all kinds, it still hasn’t lost this vital virtue. Mexico can give whatever you want. From luxurious spas and villas to hostels and cheap public transport, it takes you on a wild ride. An average trip to Mexico will cost you about 80,000 to 1 lakh without flights.
Visa Requirements
A short-term visa in Mexico allows a person to be here for up to 180 days if they are attempting any unpaid activities. These include tourism, courses below 6 months, meeting related to business and more. Australian passport holders do not need to get a Visa done to enter the country. There are a few more conditions in which you do not need to get a Visa done to join. The procedure to get one done, on the other hand, is a necessary process as followed in a lot of other countries.
Where to stay?
Mexico-city:
The city is what it always has been. The center of attention in the entire country. It is what keeps them up and running. They are getting to a better place now though. Cleaning up the city. The streets are renewing themselves, and the food scene is the city is growing by the minute. The number of taco variations this place has, and stalls and stalls and stalls everywhere will blow your mind.
What Mexico-city does is, it stays away from the drug war. So, a lot of people consider this a safe house. Every street that you stroll here takes you back to a colonial era. This place might be a mammoth, but it has an old charm of canals and museums. The city will keep you happy and transfer into you the exact essence of living in Mexico.
Best Places to stay in Mexico-city
Oaxaca City:
Oaxaca is a paintball arena of experiences. The city shoots out various versions and remixes of the culture. It is the best method of all. The town literally pulls you towards it. It hooks you with the pompous plazas and humongous, intricate churches and reels you in. Its majesty has earned it a World Heritage Site stamp. Mexican culture shines through every stone turned in the city. And it glows in ways unknown to us.
Walk in the colorful streets and burst inside an artisan store. Buy a chilled locally made alcohol and sip onto it as you see the kaleidoscope. However beautiful it is, the underground life gives it that edge. The small riots and protests that have taken place here have brought about powerful street art that attacks everything people believe in and bohemian bars and other things. This is a city of a lot of depth.

Cancun:
Cancun is a city with a split personality. It is the Instagram perfect white sand beaches and fine dining to the nines with a pumped-up party scene. But it is also a cultural, typical experience of secluded, hidden family throughout-the-generations taco stands and local stories of struggles and walks of life.
If you are tired of extremely loud disco bars and sophisticated parties, go downtown to the grit. Go into a salsa bar and sweat it out with the most seductive dance you have ever seen. Let go of the glamour and step into the comfort food. That is not all though. Cancun is also a welcoming spot for tonnes of jungles and trees. Colors and shades, you thought only existed on screens. It is a rollercoaster that you should not miss.

Guadalajara:
This makes the second largest city in all of Mexico. It is just a tad bit calmer as compared with the capital city. A lot of the culturally favorite elements were conceived here. Things like wide-brimmed sombreros and mariachi music. Guadalajara is not just preserving the old, it is also paving a path for the future to find a way in. Theatres and museums still silently edge on the cultural exchange from their corners and the chefs are in a full-on industrial oven fire as they take their near perfect cuisine and keep innovating.
The border, smaller cities do have more architectural integrity that Guadalajara but there are places here too that pay homage to the beautiful cathedrals. The Chapultepec neighborhood comes in with a surprise sprinkle of celebration with its trendy clubs, coffeehouses, and eateries. A few of the areas also feed your soul with the philosophical roots and folk art.

San Cristóbal de las Casas:
This city has set up its livelihood in some of the most beautiful pine forest setups ever. The highland valley and the colonial town have been minting money off tourism for a long time. You will have an absolute ball walking around the cobbled streets. Marinate yourself in the warmth of the ever-glowing sun and the transparent highlands visible from every point on the ground. This city is a perfect milkshake of the city life and the countryside.
The city was shaken awake by an earthquake that happened in the September of 2017. Some damage was done, but on an overall scheme, the city still stands mighty. The outskirts of the city are loitered with tonnes of Tzotzil and Tzeltal villages. This makes the city distinctly aware of its heritage. There is something to explore in every direction.

Top Experiences
Lubra Libre
WWE gets a makeover as it comes to Mexico. Men and Women come all buff, pretending to be fighting. For something that is so very fake, it is excruciating to watch. You will be stunned by how real it all looks. The fights get so intense. Lubra Libre is adrenaline pushed experience you must go for. The people in the expensive seats end up fighting with the lower positions, and this causes a very interesting banter you cannot miss.
Day of the Dead festival
Dia de Los Muertos is a festival like no other. It is celebrated on the 1st of November. The Mexicans believe that on this day, the soul of the dead come back to the living for just 24 hours. Hence, families and friends come together to greet their deceased family members with things that they treasured in life. There was even a movie called,” Coco” based on it. The weird tradition is one to look out for.
Street Food
Nothing is better than a good plate of Mexican delights. The entire world tries to rip off and recreate the iconic delicacies. They work for their hand at tacos and nachos, but nothing will ever come close to the actual brilliance of the menu in Mexico. It is a paradise that can only be experienced then and there. Do not fill your stomach up in one place. There are so many, many stalls to try. Just pick a booth, eat their specialty and move on to another lip-smacking munch.
Flyboarding in Puerto Vallarta
This moment will stay on your mind for life. It might be a trap to lure in tourists, but the locals approve it too. This is as close one can get to flying. And it is entirely worth it. Once you have mastered the arts that try to teach you like toe-heeling you are good to go. The session is just a 30 minute one but fun nonetheless. Take a back seat from the cultural aspects of the country and go have fun.
Travel Smart
Mexico is obviously a beautiful country. Not only is it validated by all the people with doe-eyed love, but also by the 34 World Heritage Sites that brands this country with a stamp of perfection.
Yes, you have seen many Tv shows. All showcasing violence and drug outbreaks. But not all of them translate to a real-life situation. A few areas here do have these negative aspects, but that is not all. A majority of the fields are safe to move around. Even so, go with some out of research and backstory. And oh, common sense.
Transport is almost always an issue, but not here. Mexico is a budget platform, and they do this well. Their coaches are clean and safe to travel in and make sense regarding budgets.
When you step into the country, the officers there will give back to you your passport stamped. Be careful with this. Because comes inside of it a slip slipped in slyly. You might not see, and you might think it is of no importance. But make sure to have it on you when
